1. Role/Purpose
The role of the Academic Committee is to improve scientific researches, discipline development, student education and teaching team development, implement democratic management, democratic supervision and scientific decision-making, work to create an open academic atmosphere, a realistic and innovative scientific research atmosphere, feedback education through scientific researches, and strengthen the development of teaching and solve the problems of academic misconduct.
2. Term of Office
The responsibility will be effective from the release of announcement document and will last until the termination of the agreement between the two sides.

4. Roles and Responsibilities
The Academic Committee is responsible for the following affairs:
(1) Study the domestic and overseas scientific development trends and the current situation of the University curriculum development, consult and review important matters in teaching, scientific researches, subject construction personnel training and other work of the University.
(2) Guide and organize university-wide academic activities, promote academic exchanges and create a culture that supports impactful research throughout the University.
(3) Provide guidance to corresponding academic organizations of each school.
(4) Assess the Scientific Research Achievement Award in the University, participate in the assessment of the Teaching Achievement Award in the University, appraise and recommend the teaching and scientific research achievements for the rewards.
(5) Appraise outstanding talents to be recruited, recommend outstanding talents of the University and appraise honorary professors and consultant professors to be hired by the University according to the needs of the work.
(6) Review and appraise the academic level and scientific research ability of applicants applying for national-level teaching and scientific research funds according to the needs of the work.
(7) Investigate and confirm incidents suspected of violating academic ethics and put forward handling opinions.
(8) Entrusted by the President, conduct demonstrations and consultations on other matters involving important academic issues and put forward constructive opinions.
5. Meeting
All meetings will be chaired by Cheng Yangguo.
The quorum for the meeting is 28 academic committee members. (100% member attendance is required.)
The meeting agendas and minutes will be provided by Zhong Zonglin of Scientific Research Office, which includes preparing the agendas and supporting documents and preparing the meeting minutes and information.
The meetings will be held in the Conference Room of the Administrative Building once a year.
6. Amendment, Modification or Change
The terms of reference can be amended, modified or changed in writing after consultation and approval by the members of the Board of Directors.
