1.1 Significant Enhancement of Student Education Ability
It has firmly established the educational concept of “student-oriented, education by objectives, continuous improvement”, built an innovative education system of "Whole Process, Four Ways And Systematic", and formed the innovative education characteristics of ability cultivation. This educational philosophy is called OBE (Outcomes-Based Education) and have been implemented since 2019. The core of OBE educational philosophy is "student-oriented", and all work initiatives must revolve around this philosophy. On basis of the OBE educational philosophy and market research, the University has set the educational goals of various majors and set separate student education schemes, in which the arrangement of the curriculum greatly supports the educational goals. Through the implementation of this educational philosophy, the student education will be further improved, highlighting the characteristics of application-oriented education of the University. The University improved the education and teaching mode, improved the teaching effect, constantly increased the resource investment in innovative educational practice and joint training of master's work, and trained a large number of high-quality application-oriented talents.

Joint training professional master's degree graduate has achieved remarkable results. A total of 30 teachers have obtained the qualification of joint master's tutor, and the University trained 252 master students jointly with universities in the province. The University has been approved as a postdoctoral innovation and practice base, and has cooperated to educate 4 postdoctoral researchers.
1.2 Optimization of Discipline and Major Structure
The University will build an "Integration" construction system with disciplines as the leading, major and curriculum-based, focusing on building a "Three" discipline cluster with "Strength, Achievements and Influence", and strive to promote the cultivation and construction of top-tier majors, and strengthen the construction of high-quality courses. 15 collaborative education projects of the University have been approved by Ministry of Education, and up till now, there is 1 national characteristic major being constructed, 5 provincial characteristic majors, 1 provincial top-tier major, 3 provincial excellent engineer training program projects, 3 pilot projects for provincial comprehensive reform, 2 provincial experimental zones for education mode innovation and 5 provincial high-quality online open courses at the University. Moreover, 20 new undergraduate majors and 9 junior college majors that are in strategic emerging industries and needed badly by the society have been added, and 13 majors with poor student sources, poor employment and little competitive advantages have been withdrawn. A total of 26 undergraduate majors have gone through the comprehensive major evaluation of Jiangxi Province, most of which ranked at the top among private universities and reached the middle level of colleges and universities in the province.
1.3 Breakthroughs in International Collaborative Programmes
The University has accelerated the process of international school running, and has made gratifying achievements. It has opened five undergraduate majors in English, and enrolled more than 300 international students from 28 countries. 1.4 Rapid Improvement of Research Quality
The ranking of research competitiveness has improved significantly. The establishment of a sustainable output mechanism for research achievements has stimulated the enthusiasm of staff and students in research, research work presents a good development trend, ranking in the national research competitiveness list of private universities, leaping from the 40th to the top 10.
The construction of a research platform has achieved leapfrog development. The 2011 collaborative innovation center for provincial automobile service project and industrial upgrade has been built, setting up a solid support platform for research. seven provincial research platforms, including the regional development research institute and the Mingshan institute of culture and art creation and communication, have expanded the advantages of the original seven municipal research platforms, and all engineering colleges have built research platforms above the municipal level, covering 12 subject fields of the whole school. 2.1 Facing Challenges
In next five years, the University will face challenges as following:
Firstly, the major structure of the University failed to follow the national strategy and regional industrial development tightly and failed to adapt to the needs of the market in a timely manner, and the University set up too many target enrollment numbers for certain majors in the Enrollment Plan. Therefore, the target enrollment numbers couldn't’t be achieved and certain majors were withdrawn. What’s more, students’ lack of proper understanding of private universities also will affect the enrollment of the University.
In next five years, the University will conduct in-depth research on enterprises with the same or similar majors as the ones to be newly declared by the University, as well as colleges and universities within and outside Jiangxi Province that develop the same or similar majors as the ones to be newly declared by the University. The University will also continue to stick to the concept of market orientation, put emphasis on the needs of social and economic development and continuously optimize the major structure. Moreover, the University will continue to work to expand its influence, enhance its popularity and increase its public profile, so as to ensure the stability of enrollment.
Secondly, with information technology becoming more and more deeply integrated with education and teaching, traditional teaching methods cannot adapt to modern teaching, and the mode of student education cannot meet the diverse and personalized learning needs of students. Therefore, teaching resources need to be enriched and teaching methods need to be reformed.
In next five years, the University will further strengthen the digitalization of teaching, adopt new online teaching, mixed teaching and distance teaching to meet the needs of the students, and continuously enrich the online teaching resources. The traditional “teaching-oriented” learning mode will be transformed to “learning- oriented”, so as to further enrich and improve the education and teaching concept of OBE (Outcomes-based Education), and further develop the educational concept of “student-oriented” and “education by objectives”.
